Sound Won't Work

About 6 months ago, I built my PC, and I've had no sound issues at all until now. All the cords are plugged in correctly, all of my drivers are installed and updated, like I said, it just one day stopped working. It detects that something has been plugged in and gives me a notification, but it won't play any sound. I tried troubleshooting it, but it did not fix anything. Any help would be tremendously appreciated.

Software: Windows 10 Pro

Solution
If the budget allows it, PCIe slots available on board and reinstalling Windows or drivers failed, then I'd install a PCIe sound card.
RMA stands for return merchandise authorization, meaning returning the product, if under warranty, to be repaired, or replaced.

Thanks for the suggestion. I had made sure that it was set as the correct output, but it still didn't play sound.

Sorry, but what does RMA mean? And which option would you do if it were you?

Thanks for all your help, I think I will try the sound card idea first. Again, I appreciate it.
