I have a Toshiba satellite s55t-b5335 with irreversible damage to the screen and hinge that prevents it to be replaced i decided to take of the screen off since theirs no use for it. Since the bios does not output to an external monitor i can see it but when i turn on the computer after about a minute the computer turns off. I have tried pressing all the F# keys but none of them will get past the bios

Sounds like the problem is the computer won't work without the monitor attached. Even if it isn't working. You may well have to put it back on to get it to work, even with the external monitor.
