No sound on HDMI 1 but on 2 and 3 it's working fine

When HDMI connected to port 1 - picture but NO sound. Same HDMI connected to port 2 - picture AND sound. Why? Samsung UHD Curved TV Series 7.

A
It is possible to have a bad HDMI input but not a bad HDMI board. The HDMI chip can also affect audio.

to see if there is a replacement HDMI board for your TV.
Or you can get an external HDMI input selector.

May sound strange, but have you tried re-naming the device on HDMI 1? I.e you can 'label' the HDMI inputs. See what it is named as, and if it is something like 'DVI Devices' then change it to DVD and see if you can get the audio back.

I had the same issue but with a Panasonic TV. I read this and in the HDMI settings, each port has "mode 1 and mode 2", I simply switched from 2 to 1 and it worked. Maybe this might help.
