I cannot for the live of me figure out how to make it work.... maybe it just doesn't because it's the first tcl roku model? I am trying to get the my

A
TVs don't have any video outputs so you can't get a picture from it to a projector.
You have to use another source (Roku stick, phone, tablet, PC etc) connected to the projector to access your photos.
