So I'm planning on adding an SSD for my laptop ( Lenovo z50-70)
Here's the Motherboard
LENOVO Lancer 5A5 (U3E1)
CPU
Intel Core i7 4510U @ 2.00GHz
GPU
4095MB NVIDIA GeForce 840M
RAM
8.00GB Dual-Channel DDR3 @ 798MHz

.
I want to add an SSD with my HDD not replacing it
Is it passable?
I'm running Player unknowns battlegrounds but it takes time( 3-5 min ) to load the textures of the buildings and someone told me an SSD will fix the problem
P.s forgive my ignorance in these kind of stuff I'm trying to learn more everyday

Solution
The Z50-70 only has one 2.5" for a HDD or SSD. It does not have any M.2 slot for a M.2 SATA SSD.

Your only option is to remove the DVD drive and replace it with a caddy that will allow you to install another 2.5" drive in the laptop. The following video demonstrates how to do it. The caddy looks a like a stand caddy adapter for laptops.

I can't actually find much info on that laptop.

Adding an SSD in addition to the HDD is only possible if you have either an available HDD bay (probably not) or an optical drive you can replace with a caddy.
Something like this: https://www.amazon.ca/Laptop-Drive-Caddy-Lenovo-ThinkPad/dp/B004ZCS0TW

An SSD would only benefit the actual load/save times of the game....... I'm not convinced an SSD upgrade would improve texture renders times, that's likely either CPU or GPU dependent.

I agree with Barty1884. PUBG is a very poorly optimized game that requires high end hardware to play smoothly. The GTX 840M is not going to cut it and is most likely holding you back.

Yeah I know that I'm running it on low with 50fps
and medium 40fps
the only problem I'm having is the buildings not having any textures
It's annoying specially when i play with friends and i can't help them in the first 5 min

I.m still not convinced too
tho a lot of people on steam said after they moved the game to their SSD it start loading the textures faster and they don't have the problem anyone
tbh i don't wanna waste money on this laptop cuz I'm building a Pc tho the GPU prices are taking way too long to go down

Be aware that the SATA port for the DVD drive on some laptops is slower than for the HDD. You *should* be safe since this came with a Haswell-era CPU (so presumably a chipset which only has SATA 3 ports). But there's no way to be sure until you actually hook it up. Lenovo has been known to keep legacy hardware configurations like this around long after they've been superseded by newer hardware.

If the DVD SATA port turns out to be slower, you're going to have to use the SSD to replace the HDD, and put the HDD in the caddy.

Also, I'll second the comment above that the SSD probably will not help with this problem. Even with a HDD, it should not be taking several minutes to load textures. It sounds like insufficient VRAM, or the game is just poorly coded.
