Hello i have upgraded my bios to latest version 25 days ago after that i changed my laptop charger because it doesnot charges laptop and my laptop motherbord beep 4 times. THE new charger solved the problem but now i have installed windows 7 oem from dell reinstallaton dvd .i have installed all the driver but when i put my laptop to sleep it doesnot wake i can only see 1 power led and sound that hdd and fan are working. Also if i hibernate my laptop and resume i got an error that your system firmware doesnot preserve the system memory map across the hibernate transition. So i tried restarting my laptop and removing power cord of charger and then i cam resume from hibernate. I also checked with my old charger but i faced same problem.
laptop config-Dell inspiron 3520
Ram 4 gb
Hdd-toshiba

Easisest solution here is installing Win 10. Windows 10 doesn't have this problem and what most important - it just doesn't have this problem screen like Windows 7. It doesn't have any of these screens... So this one is easiest. There are not many solutions left for Your problem. I think that there aren't anymore...

If you have MacAfee installed on the system then you may get this type of error. For more information please check with the following link.

https://kc.mcafee.com/corporate/index?page=content&id=KB70396&actp=LIST

If you don't use mcafee try the following

www.mydigitallife.info/fix-windows-7-did-not-preserve-memory-map-error-on-resume-from-hibernation

1. Click Start.

2. Right click computer and choose properties

3. Now select and click Device Manager.

4. Expand the Batteries category.

5. Right-click the Microsoft ACPI Compliant Control Method Battery listing, then click uninstall

6. Click the Action menu on the upper taskbar.

7. Click the Scan for hardware changes button.

8. At this point, Windows will detect the removed hardware component and attempt to install the correct driver.

9: Place the system in standby and check to see if the problem has been resolved or not.

Ok, do You have any USB devices plugged in USB? Before You are resetting your pc from hibernate state, unplug them and try again. If it will not help you, enter your BIOS and find "Reset to default settings" or smth, press it and try again. If it will not help too, try to find another update for your BIOS. Your problem cause by your BIOS update. Mostly it solves by steps, which i wrote upper but its not Your case. You can try to downgrade your BIOS but its not so easy and it could be undone in Win or MS-DOS. In this case, You will need to use programmer to downgrade your BIOS. This one is very hard and I advise you to do it in service center.

P.S. But there is left a chance that Your new BIOS cracked Your m/b up and You will recieve error messages for the rest of Your days. Chance of this is 30%(number from my head, no one can't rate chances of any problem in percents)
