my asus laptop K52F keeps saying startup repair but dont I dont want to do a factor reset .

It may be a drive error. You can try to run a the repair, try to restore it to a different time. If you are worried about losing files, remove the disk and copy your files to another system, then you can work on the drive. Or better idea, get a new hard drive and install Windows clean on that one.
