Hard drive not installed. It quit while I was looking at it and there seems to be no easy repair. What can you share?

I got the bad news on my computer screen, had a horrible time finding the error code 2000-0155, and if I need to replace the drive, I also need to retrieve info off the old drive. Most of the drive is backed up on idrive, or stored in the cloud, but there is a matter of the work I did yesterday that is on the drive.

What can you share?

Remove the drive, connect it to another computer using an external drive enclosure. If the drive itself is not dead, you can copy your files that way.
