I have an Asus H61M motherboard and I do not have any external sound card. I have recently brought an F&D 3800x 5.1 speakers. I plugged it directly into my motherboard without any sound card and I can hear the sounds. But sometimes, in some movies and games I don't hear the voices.
1. Do I need a sound card to get the full performance of 5.1 speakers?
2. If I don't use a sound card , will it cause any damage to my motherboard or the 5.1 speakers?
