Hi group!

Generally, I use either Windows or Linux for my computing needs. I've started getting in creating native Apps. For the Google Play store, it doesn't matter what OS. However, looking around the web, I've read that while it may be possible to run the OS in a virtual machine, I'm not sure if that is my best option, so am looking at getting a refurbished Macbook, for XCode.

Now, for the creating and development process, I have an online web platform for handling all of the creation side. However, "you will need access to a Mac with xCode to publish to iTunes."

So, since what I'd only be doing is publishing, would I be able to do this in a virtual machine, or would I actually need a MacBook?

If I need a MacBook, since publishing online would be my main thing, and not actually doing the development offline, would this be enough for that purpose:

Ideally as long as the VM thinks it is an apple machine it should work. But I cannot be certain. I would test the VM idea, and then if that fails, then I would consider a slightly newer macbook, those 2007 ones are ancient, slow, and often have no battery life left, and are also waiting to fail.

If you get a late 2009 Macbook, it will run OSX sierra ( could help with keeping everything up to date and working together), and those are still very cheap as macs go (anything older would be running El Capitan which is also still fine, but you might run into some odd bull a few years from now where it is too old to do something despite having the same darn hardware... )

I found this one, You might be able to get it for around $120 or...
