1. What is your budget? ~£900 (could go up a fraction potentially)

2. What is the size of the notebook that you are considering? Might be an oxymoron but I would like it to be portable but also big enough to enjoy at home. I can plug laptop into TV and use a controller for some games so doesn't have to be huge.

3. What screen resolution do you want? Not sure .. best value for money?

4. Do you need a portable or desktop replacement laptop? Has to be portable - not currently anywhere where I can have a PC (travel often, not sure what im doing with my life etc)

5. How much battery life do you need? Doesn't matter too much - I can probably find a plug.

6. Do you want to play games with your laptop? If so then please list the games that you want to with the settings that you want for these games. (Low,Medium or High)? Yes I want to play games such as Planet Coaster, Cities Skylines, Stardew Valley (all the girly ones) amongst some other Steam games, but probably nothing too insane. I have been spoiled with my boyfriends high end PC, but I guess it doesn't have to be high if that will mean going over my budget

7. What other tasks do you want to do with your laptop? (Photo/Video editing, Etc.) I like making videos from my Gopro and using photoshop to edit images . Photo editing for blogging perhaps. I like drawing in photoshop.

8. How much storage (Hard Drive capacity) do you need? Could someone help me here, im not sure!

10. How long do you want to keep your laptop? I've only ever had a macbook which has lasted me 10 years now - I don't expect that again but I think 5 years? is that being naive!

12. Please tell us about the brands that you prefer to buy from them and the brands that you don't like and explain the reasons. I've only had macbooks before but need something to play games on. Also gone off Apple recently. So I don't really know the other brands.

13. What country do you live in? United Kingdom

14. Please tell us any additional information if needed.
Just something not too heavy that will be able to play the games I enjoy, I can plug into TV to stream games and movies. Webcam etc

THANKYOU GUYS SO MUCH :)

We use only laptops custom built to our specs for 2 reasons:

1. The mass market laptops you see advertised lure in customers by advertising a few key components and then skimp on the rest to cut costs.

2. Just about every brand you would recognize or name, doesn't actually make a laptop. They buy it from an ODM who slaps their label on it.

Is your budget with or with out VAT ?

If not including VAT, you could consider this

https://www.pcspecialist.co.uk/notebooks/proteusIV-15/
w/ 8 GB of RAM £923.33 ex. VAT / £1,108.00 inc. VAT
w/ 16 GB of RAM £978.33 ex. VAT / £1,174.00 inc. VAT

If ya budget didn't include VAT and allows you to go an extra £78, Id go the the 16GB GTX 1060 model
