I have recently bought a Sades Headset that comes with headphone plugin, a microphone plugin, and a thing to plug into your computer like a flash drive. I only have one jack on this laptop. I cant pick up any sort of audio even if the headphone cord is plugged in the the microphone is not. I have tried my headphone splitter that has 5 sides but that does not work. Please Help! Thank you.

Sounds like either your 3.5mm port is output only (headphones/speakers) or a dual input/output that just doesn't work with an attached mic. Both being very common in recent laptops.

A way around this is to either get a headset/mic combo that has a USB connection, or get a 3.5mm to USB adapter. In your case split one that has the ability to take both the headset and mic 3.5mm jacks and turn them into one USB connection. Should work just fine after that.
