Laptop for video rendering - More RAM vs SSD

Hey folks! I'm looking for a new laptop to work with video editing, mainly heavy stuff on After Effects. I'm also planning to start learning some 3D modelling and my current computer (i7 3610QM/8GB/GT 630M) is not being enough for my tasks anymore.

I've been planning to get an i7-7700HQ with a GTX 1050 (maybe a 1050ti, not sure yet), and initially I was considering to pick 32GB of RAM but now I'm wondering whether it would be more effective to get 16GB or RAM plus a 240GB SSD. The laptop will already have an 1TB SSHD + 8GB SSD.

Which combination do you guys think that would bring a better performance for rendering?

if the 1060 is in your budget range then get it but if not go for the 1050ti and skip the 1050.i would go for the ram + ssd combo.your laptop will be much faster with the ssd(write speed,programs execution,boot time).

Is there any issue with the 1050 that makes it skipabble? Cause even the 1050ti would mean a significant increase in my budget, and I'm already hitting the limit of how much I'm planning to spend

Between the 1050ti and the SSD, which one would be more useful for my purpose? I guess I wouldn't be able to afford both so I'd have to pick one.

go for the 1050ti.ssd can be added along the way but not the gpu.once u choose a gpu u are stuck with it.

Unfortunately it has to be a laptop, I need to be able to bring it with me to different places. The problem of the GTX 1050 is the 2GB memory?

Guys, thanks for taking your time to shed some light on these things for me.

I came across some models here that kinda fits my needs (and yep, they seem overpriced but things in Brazil are usually more expensive, so it's normal), but I'm kinda stuck in a dilemma here.

So here's the thing: The Acer VX15 has almost the same core specs besides having less 16GB of RAM but it's $410 cheaper. So I've been wondering whether it would be a good idea to buy the Acer model and spend $200 on more 16GB to expand it to 32GB like the Avell model. It still would save more something around $200 and I'd still have an i7/GTX 1050ti/32GB RAM.The only thing that is holding me back is the fact that, according to reviews, the NT screen of the Acer model kinda sucks for not being an IPS screen. And having a screen with a good color balance and decent angles would be important for me. Also, the Avell has some other advantages like the mechanical keyboard and other small gimmicks, but they wouldn't really matter for me. The screen is the only reason why I haven't chosen the VX15 yet.

What do you guys think about it? Would still be a good cost-benfit to pick the Acer model, considering that it would save me $200 even tho the screen is not that good?

The vx 15 with 1050ti uses ips.only the 1050 version use TN.if u get the acer spend that extra cash for an m.2 ssd.16gb of ram is still enough

Unfortunately, here in Brazil all versions of the VX15 are sold with a TN panel. If it weren't for this detail I'd have chosen the Acer model already, but I really feel a bit insecure to do it cause I don't know if I'll have problems with the colors when working with video editing.

well if u can get past the screen the go for vx 15.if not the avell is your choice.i personally didnt mind if its TN or ips as i often hook them up to a monitor at the office/home.
