TV channel problem please help

I Have an TCL LED tv 43 inch and I have a problem...The led when turned on works properly but doesnt show any source.. i cant change the channels..the channel number keeps on staying on "1" even if i change it.

Please help me and tell me what to do.MY cable is good on another TV and I am using a cable for my tv not antenna ..
I have tried plugging out the cable and plugging again but nothing seems to work.please help me and tell me how to fix the problem.

Is your cable coming into your TV via an aux input like an HDMI input or scart connection? Can you select the particular input that the cable is going into? The channels (watching normal TV) will not change properly unless there is an aerial plugged in, and the channels have been installed.

Does the TCL have a QAM cable tuner built in?
Did you select that and run a channel scan? Without the scan you can't tune in any channels.
