Well I used to play games quite a lot in my PC and I have a mid range i5 with gtx960 pc. But within last few years my requirements have changed greatly. Working with CS has forced me to go mobile. Still I try to play the big titles whenever I get time. So, looking for a laptop that will serve both my needs. Needless to say, quite a long time I'll need to work in linux. I heard that gaming notebooks are quite rugged. I really need my notebook to be long lasting, as saving money for another one wont be easy for a student like me. Two of the notebooks match my price point:
1. https://www.asus.com/us/Laptops/ROG-GL553VD/
2. http://www.dell.com/en-us/shop/productdetails/inspiron-15-7567-laptop
(The i5 1050ti version without ips panel, as ips panel version is unavailable in my region)
I liked the Dell, but i heard the display is horrible. So i wanted to go for asus. Then i found it's battery is horrible :( If i include durability with these, which will be better for my need? Also any other choices do you recommend?
And I'll be happy to know about notebook power banks. Are they worth buying?
Thanks in advance.

The old acer like during the year 2000,yeah they kinda suck.but nowdays they are doing a good job especially in the budget gamer department.i still have an old nitro with the gtx 860m that i gave to my lil bro.now almost 3 years and still running like it was new.so the vx shouldnt be a problem.

the asus uses 1050 instead of 1050ti if i am correct?if u can live with the horrible screen i suggest going with the dell just for the gpu alone.i went to a local shop and the dell feels nice and strong.or u can check out the acer vx15.the i7 version should use an ips panel and a gtx 1050ti.

I have an old macbook pro 13inch mid 2012, with which I am happy with screen. I really don't care about angles a lot. What do you think, shall I be able to live with it? Acer looks good, but aren't Acer laptops a little less lasting than the other too?
