Having an issue with a Toshiba L305D-S5900, it has a black screen on startup. You see the HDD activity light blinking, everything spins up just no display, no post info, no spash screen nothing. It works on an external monitor. Now for the interesting part, I can boot a live Linux Distro, I actually installed Ubuntu on a spare HDD and there is still no POST screen but it boots up and the display works fine. This thing is making me crazy! It happened when Vista was installed, I updated it to Windows 7, updated the BIOS, all drivers still nothing with any Windows product. Any ideas, suggestions? I know it's and older laptop but...
