Greetings everyone,

I have had my laptops main keyboard disabled since a longer time because the keys were sticky due to spillage.

So I have been using an external keyboard since then. Until yesterday. I was playing some video game and suddenly some keys stopped working.
(Q W E R U I O P) to be exact.

I tried the same external keyboard on a different laptop and all the keys worked just fine.
But on this one they don't work no matter which USB slot the keyboard is plugged in.

Since my main keyboard is disabled and I don't remember how to re-enable it I can't seem to get into safe mode by pressing F8 on the external keyboard.
So I am not sure if this could be a hardware or a driver issue.

Still the way the keyboard works on other laptops makes me think that it maybe is not a hardware issue?

Oh and I am using Win10.

EDIT: Just did a System restore, and it didn't help either.

Any help and advice are very appreciated.
Thank you in advance.

Solution
Try this...

1. Uninstall the keyboard driver.
2. Reboot the computer (without reinstalling the driver).
3. When it restarts, it should reinstall the driver on its own.

You may also want to try updating the Synaptics Driver if the above doesn't help.
