I bought a power amp which is locally made here in Australia, and i want to connect my bookshelf speakers to it. These are passive speakers.

I thought it would be really easy to connect my speakers via speaker cables as we normally do, but my power amp has a different kind of connection as show here - http://imgur.com/a/HrF0E.

Does anyone know how to connect speakers to such a connection?

Solution
That connector block looks like it's designed for inserting twisted bare wires in to it instead of using proprietary audio jacks such as those designed to take the red/white RCA phono plugs.

Use a flat-bladed screwdriver to slacken off each screw in turn, insert bare twisted wire from each speaker in to each hole in turn, then tighten up the screw to grip the wire.

Much like wiring up a mains plug.
