I have a Dell Insipiron 3125, which it battery died, so it had to be always plugged in. One day after finishing college I was packing my things and Shut Down the laptop, but since i was in a hurry while it was turning off I disconnected the power cord. When I arrived home the laptop wouldnt boot, I tried giving it a refresh but said media tool wasnt found, then I installed a usb with the media tool, but even after giving it a refresh and repair it still doesnt work properly, My Pc diagnostic says it was a HDD failure. Can someone help me?

Then that means the hard drive is not working properly. Is it spinning when you are trying to select it? It is possible that the hard drive has died. You can replace for rather cheaply for $50 brand new 1TB (or less of course). If it truly matters, I would suggest using a professional data recovery.

If it is a HDD failure, it needs to be replaced.

However, before we jump there, have you tried formatting the hard drive? You may lose your files, but it seems that your laptop is pretty old.
