Odd power issue

I've got an Asus TP550L which doesn't charge when powered on.

When the charger is plugged in while system is on the plug symbol in the bottom right of screen just flashes, with the battery charge % not going up. If you turn it off and leave the charger in it will slowly charge over time. I've tried 2 other chargers and the problem is still persisting.

I tried disconnecting the battery and trying to run on the adapter but the system couldn't boot. LED lights indicate it tries to turn on but they turn off before the screen powers up.

Not really sure what it could be, other than the motherboard shorting out somehow

Sorry, When attempt to boot without battery it doesn't boot. It tries to boot but it just power cycles without actually loading anything. So there isn't enough juice from the power adapter to boot the PC

It was bought as a refurb from amazon a year ago with 3 months warranty. 4th gen i7 inside.

It does seem to be the power pin that is the issue... Problem is it is soldered to the motherboard, and not on its daughter board or cable like other power pins...
