My laptop's keyboard is behaving weirdly, sometimes i have to press a key few times to print the character and sometimes I press it only once and value get printed two or three times. Can you please tell m what is the problem, is it hardware or software?

Solution
Sounds like hardware, but to start, try this...

1. Uninstall the keyboard driver.
2. Reboot the computer (without reinstalling the driver).
3. When it restarts, it should reinstall the driver on its own.

If this doesn't work, you may wish to try connecting an external keyboard and see if it works fine. If it does, then it could be the keys themselves that are the issue.

You may also want to try updating the Synaptics Driver if the above doesn't help.

Guy, if some keys do not work properly on your Asus laptop (for instance, C, M,Q,V keys do not type at light touching - you must press them hardly and longly - some 3-7 seconds), then all suggestions to reinstall the keyboard driver and so on are rubbish.
The solution is as follows: Just open the bottom of your laptop, remove the battery (or lift it) and unfold the soft bands under it (or fold them otherwise).
I had 2 Asus laptops of different models and that action resolved the problem in both. Usually that problem arises 3-rd year of laptop's use
