Hi!

I have two tvs, one in my bedroom, one in my lounge. The one in the bedroom is a technika from about 8 years ago and the lounge one is a samsung from 4/5 years ago.

I have one aerial cable right now (awaiting a splitter and extra cable).

When this cable is plugged into my samsung tv, I get perfect signal and all channels work. Plugging this cable into my technika however results in 10% signal and 4 channels with that.

Same cable, same wall socket, different tvs. Has my technika had it (the last I used it for tv was about 4 years ago its been used as a ps4 screen since)

Thanks in advance

Solution
The tuner in the Teknika is not nearly as good as the one in the Samsung. When you split the signal it will reduce the signal even more. You will need to boost the signal and use an active distribution amp to minimize signal loss.
You can also try an external freeview tuner to upgrade it or replace it with a newer TV.
