If I buy a ROG laptop, can laptop last how long for future games?
how many years?
example game GTA VI, project cars 2 , Star wars battlefront II,

Model : ASUS ROG GL553VD-FY380D
- RAM 16GB - i7-7700HQ - GTX1050M-4GB - 128GB SSD + 1TB - 15.6" FHD

Solution
That's a powerful enough, and say, one of the most powerful high-end gaming laptops you can get in a normal price range. All games won't be full 60FPS on maxxed out graphics but it'll do great at medium-high.

Don't even mention that ahead future games. If you can run GTA 5 itself on 1080p Full graphics, it's great.

For gaming purposes, get a desktop. Laptop hardware power is heavily limited due to battery issues.

Those same specs on a desktop can do much much better:
i7 7700K,
16GB DDR4 RAM,
128GB SSD, 1TB HDD,
do a GPU Upgrade to atleast GTX 1070/GTX1080 8GB.

Unless you travel a lot, you should go with a desktop. Under $1200, a great gaming PC can be built.

That will have a hard time keeping up with current games, you might expect 60fps in some current games but on lowered settings.
You should consider making another post with a budget and location and we can suggest a good laptop for you or, if you prefer a desktop.

I agree with previous poster - - a desktop PC is the best option as you can upgrade it as & when required for future games, with a laptop you're stuck with whatever CPU & GPU it comes with.

Not to mention the overheating issues that can arise when gaming intensely on a laptop - - even a gaming model.
