I have an Acer VX 15, i5 7300HQ w/ Nvidia GTX 1050. This one time while I was playing, the laptop must've reached its limit which was over 100 degrees celsius and proceeded to shut down and wouldn't turn on after a couple of minutes. I tested afterwards with MSI Afterburner and Intel Extreme Tuning Utility to see if it was the case and yes, it did went through the limit (Average temps were 90 degrees). I've already made adjustments to the environment to better suit the laptop and I guess the laptop still functioned normally but I'm not so sure. The Intel Turbo Boost might've been toned down though.

I just wanna ask if the laptop is still okay at this point. It's been bugging me that something inside might've been damaged or something similar (which might explain the Intel Turbo Boost?). Thank you in advance!

I would use it for normal purposes for a few days to see if it switches itself off. If it is able to do this then you know that it could be due to the initial temp overload. If it does switch itself off though then you know something has gone wrong.
