I just bought a ASUS ROG GL502VS (7th gen Intel CPU) and I noticed that one of my USB 3.0 ports does not work. It powers or charges any device connected to it including a laptop cooling pad, a phone (ASUS Zenfone 3 Laser), a USB mouse (the lights turn on) and a USB headset (HyperX Cloud II, there is a faint hum and the surround sound controller lights turn on). However, none of the devices are detected by the laptop. All these devices function perfectly fine on the other two USB 3.0 ports. I tried reinstalling the USB Host Controllers and Root Hubs, and restarting my computer several times, but it never worked. I also tried contacting the ASUS support center but they did not help at all, sending generic/automated messages. I was wondering if it's just a defective product or if there's a way to fix it. Thanks!
P.S. The users on superuser.com were very rude when asked the same question.
P.S.S. If there's any information missing or lacking, please feel free to let me know.

Hello... OK... another place to look would be in Your MB BIO's, your USB chips\hardware is mounted on the MB... so there will be OPTIONs to enable or Disable them there... so that would be the place to look next. BIO's screen will vary between brands/models etc... so I can't tell you which screen it will be in... "Peripherals' might be a place to start. B /
