Hello

A friend of mine have just contacted me about her G suite gmail is getting bounce messages with her account sending spam..

She don't know the company and have never had any contact with them..

She is using Gmail with Chrome browser..

How is this possible? I moved her email to G-Suite in hope of avoiding all the problems she had with Outlook and viruses..

any ideas what is happening and how can I fix this?

Thank you..

"But she don't know the company and have never had contact to them.. So why is she getting this messeage then?"

Because someone has hacked into that email account (they've "cracked" it's password) then they send messages from it so it looks like the authorised account holder has sent them. Like I said, easy to do with free email.

Either change password every month or switch to a different email service.

I asked her to change password.. When she first started to get a bounched email.. That was May 29

Also asked her to see if she could see any messages in the "sent" that shouldn't be there... Everything looks OK..

She is using G-suite with her own domain with MX recoards pointing to gmail..

Whats next.. Run a bunch of malware and anti virus programs on her PC?

Or perhaps it's just a spoofing attempt?
