Why is does my MacBook freeze when moved?

I have a Mid 2010 that I bought 4 years ago and has been going strong. It is still faster and more reliable than most of the newer Windows laptops that my friends and family have. I had my first major problem with it this year. I upgraded the ram mid May and three weeks later, I had the same issue you are having plus it would randomly freeze/shut down even when not touched. I tried everything. I read countless articles on Mac forums and Apple. I checked the HDD, changed the ram back to the old sticks and several other things. One thing you should try is to run with just one stick of ram. If the problem persists then try the other ram slot. There is a lot Mac users that had a similar problems and this fixed it. the problem was that one slot was damaged where it connected to the logic board. The downside is you either run with just one stick of ram or replace the logic board. And in case you haven't heard this...Apple says the max ram for a MacBook pro from these years is 8gb total(2x4gb). However, there is tons of properly working installs, proven by benchmark tests that the Mac Pros actually max out at 16gb total(2x8gb), which of course means that, if you find one sodimm slot to be bad, you could get an 8gb stick and run one slot and you should be good to go! Now, unfortunately this was not my problem...it still had problems with only one stick. So at that point I feared it was the logic board. I took it to the local Mac repair shop because they do a $30 diagnostic without any commitment to have your repairs done. They confirmed it to be the logic board so I took it home and ordered a used one and after replacement, my Mac Pro is running like before.
