New Pc speakers

I have some very old and cheap Logitech speakers and i need an upgrade.

Apart from playing games i use them to listen to music and i prefer more bass heavy songs. does anyone have any suggestions as to what speakers would be good for me, i dont want them too expensive, so the absolute maxim,um is £100. also i dont have a sound card and im just using the Gigabyte Z87-D3HP mother board.

It's not too bad, the bass sometimes gets a little whingey but it's lasted me about awhile now.

I'm not sure about UK prices and I expect these to be over your budget a little but check for Logitech Z623s and Klipsch ProMedia 2.1. Either of those will give you VERY nice bass and high quality sound in general for the money.

How much of an upgrade are you looking for? You could go for a self-powered system As KerryT suggested, but if you are looking for a more "audiophile" experience, then you would be looking at a 5.1 channel audio amplifier and speakers that match. You might look at the "Home theater in a box" solutions. either one would be more than 100 pounds.

If you go to Amazon.uk, search pc speakers with subwoofer, you can find plenty that'll give you a good mix of bass ability that won't break the bank.
