Might have missed it, but the i5 one doesn't seem to have a graphics card. the i7 one has a 940MX. That one will be better for gaming

I'd stick the the i7 - 940mx if it has to be between the two. I don't know what restrictions you have, but that rig won't be great for gaming.

There's not much between them mate at all.
If the 940mx were gddr5 it would be an easy win.

The amount of vram bothers me more than anything .
That said you'll be playing at 720p to get decent fps anyway so its probably enough at that res.

The i7-7500u is a fair bit stronger so I'd take the Asus personally if the rest of the laptop specs are OK for you.
