Hello!
I have an audio splitter for my Headphone jack
since my Headphone jack only has one hole

when i plugged the splitter in, the microphone show up (plugged in) (this is in recording devices).
that was just the splitter not the actual mic. when i did plug the mic into the splitter, the microphone (in recording devices) instantly said "not plugged in". on the other hand, the audio on the splitter just work fine, the problem is in the mic.

can anyone help me?
(sidenote : the mic has 2 rings while the splitter has 3)
thx :D

It sounds like the port you are plugging into isn't for both a mic and a headset (not input/output) which it would have to be for that to work. Or it is one that doesn't work well with splitters. Which I see a lot anymore.

You can try getting yourself a USB adapter for it, which would allow you to connect through one of the USB ports. That usually gives less issues than a single 3.5mm one. Or you can get a headset/mic combo that is USB specific.
