I have a Lenovo G50-45 that came with a Windows 8.1 OS. I bought it 2 years ago and it was working fine until sometime after I upgraded to Win 10. It took too long for it to start windows and it got to a point that it did not start sometimes up to more than 2 hours.

I reset the windows using OneKey (keeping my files): Did not fix
Then I recovered it to the factory windows (8.1) erasing all my files (I took a backup before): still having the same problem

When I push the power button the small light in front and the small light next to the camera turns on (this one turns off in a second) and there is a pure black screen with no DOS type command running etc. I cannot see if BIOS is loading or not, I cannot see what the computer does.

It takes sometimes 20 minutes and sometimes forever that I can see LENOVO logo and after that I know that windows will appear in a minute or so.

I tries troubleshooting: no success. I checked performance an it does not show anything unusual.

After a very long time I was successful to get into BIOS mode (restarted from windows, I hit F2 or F12 and nothing happens) to check whether there is any problem, but again no success.

At this point, I am frustrated and out of options and I am hopeful someones gives me some clue about this. I am afraid this is a motherboard problem and I have to think about a new laptop

Please help!
