Sound-bar TV, PS4 ?

Hi Guys,

I have a PS4 , Samsung sound bar http://www.samsung.com/africa_en/audio-video/soundbar-j355/ has optical output, aux and bluetooth only (no HDMI) and a Hisense TVhttp://www.hisense.co.za/product/55-fhd-smart-k3110-55k3110pw/. My question is that i connected the sound bar to the tv via optical output. Will the PS4 play through the soundbar? Will it play dolby surround sound?

It all depends on how your TV is made. There should be setting to enable optical out. Whether the TV will pass HDMI audio to the optical out, you have to try. Same for surround / dolby.

Ideal solution would be to find a way to get audio directly from PS4 to the SB.
