Hello all! I will be moving abroad for studies and want to buy a laptop which will be used primarily for 3D work and editing. I cannot buy a MacBook because it does not support 3Ds Max which i will be using.

My question is should I opt for a workstation laptop or a gaming one. I am pretty confused since most of the laptops with quadro cards dont perform half as well as the 1060s and 1070s. But they cost a ton of money. My budget is about $2500. I was thinking of going for a 7th gen quad core i7 and atleast 16 gigs of ram and some ssd. But i am confused with the graphics card. Will the extra money spend on a quadro laptop be worth it? Or will the difference be negligible for spending 500$ more.
Thanks in advance guys!

apps like catia/solidworks/creo work better with quadro cards. if you use others apps like autocad/inventor/3dmax you could go for a geforce
