Hello

I just bought a new TV and a soundbar. I would like to connect my pc to the tv so I can play and watch games in 4K. My pc has its own audio source (speakers) via audio input at the back.

My Tv on the otherhand uses the audio with the soundbar connected via Optical or 3.5mm jack.

My concern is that if I connect the tv to my pc via hdmi and then decide to use the tv as display, where will it get the audio source from? My pc speakers or sound-bar?

What I am trying to achieve is when I use my tv, the audio will come from the soundbar only.

My items are set to arrive next week and ive been pondering about this for day now...

What should i do?

Thanks!

You should be able to choose which to use by right-clicking on the speaker icon in the bottom right and clicking 'Playback Devices'. Then right-click on the one you want and click 'Set as Default Device'.
