I have a Lnovo b590 laptop, and i updated the bios last night, to one of the latest versions, because my gt 720m video card was getting code 43 error under windows 7, thought that would fix the problem.

Since i updated the bios, i couldn't boot my SSD, even though it shows up.
I tried setting the secure boot off, and enabling cms support in the bios but that didn't help either.
All the usbs show up in the boot list, but when i try to boot the win8 bootable usb it just won't, just like the SSD which has a windows installed on it.

I tried to boot a kali livecd from a bootable usb, which worked, and while being on Kali i checked if the SSD is damaged or something, but it seems ok, and untouched.

Any suggestions, or clues on what could be the problem?

Solution
Check the BIOS setup for the drive type, it may have been changed from how Windows was installed on it originally. Try AHCI, if that does not work, try Legacy or RAID if that is available. The 43 error is often a hardware issue with the video card.
