I'm looking for a good pair of speakers just 2.1 or 2.0 as my room doesnt allow an effective 5.1 or 7.1 due to placement as i can only put them all infront of my desk so its pointless.

anyway im unsure what to look for in terms of quality of speakers. like i understand computer hardware and i know how 3.2ghz is faster than 2.2ghz and so on. but i cant seem to find that with speakers as im just guessing whats good and whats not.

If you can stretch it $21 those ProMedia's are WAY better than anything cheaper. You'd have to move up to the $350-$400 range for 'better'.

Actually I take that back, no free shipping brings it to about $150 and that seems to be the price everywhere. They do go on sale pretty regularly at ~$120 though.
