Laptop discrete GPUs are only sold in bulk to system builders. You cannot directly purchase them from a online / retail store. The best way is probably eBay or some other online auction site that sells MXM format laptop discrete GPUs that have been taken from existing laptops (i.e. sold for parts).

The Radeon R9 M290X is a has a form factor of MXM 3.0, Type B. Whatever discrete laptop GPU you can find as a replacement must also that that same form factor otherwise it may not fit. Based on a Google search, the nVidia K3100M is form factor MXM 3.1, Type B. It is close, but I have no idea if it will fit. Additionally, I do not know if there are any compatibility issues with your laptop... and there is the issue of power draw and heat...
What you need to keep in mind are the power and thermal requirements. Anything that requires more power than your old M290X needed at load may not work. Any mobile card that has a higher TDP and produce more heat than your system can dissipate, causing your system to overheat, crash, and/or melt.

If you can find one you will need to ask the seller if it is compatible with your laptop. Based on reading some sporadic posts over the years some MXM GPUs are designed specifically for a certain laptop. That's all the information I can provide you.
