i thought you meant the PC was slow to boot up, not that games were slow...

you could try making a new ISO and see if that gets you passed 0%

try doing a clean install again
follow this guide: http://www.tenforums.com/tutorials/1950-windows-10-clean-install.html

when you reach the screen asking for licence, click "I don't have a key" and win 10 will continue to install and reactivate once finished

On the screen where you choose where to install win 10, if it gives you an error about GPT drives, delete all the...

you don't normally need to format drive before clean installing win 10 as its part of the process.

wonder if hdd is reason PC was running slow and now why it won't install

you could restart PC and try this
Press alt Shift F10 on the installation screen, this will open cmd
type diskpart and press enter
type list disk and press enter
this shows all drives available, DVD/USB and hdd, make note of hdd number
type Select disk X - where X is the number of the hdd you want to wipe, change X to that number and press enter
once the drive you want to install on is chosen, type Clean
restart PC and try installer again

that wipes drive again and may let you continue

I think that the best way to wipe old Windows and put new Windows, is just Do Not wipe the data, run the installer, and when the partition select screen comes out, you can format your C: drive and put new Windows on it. So I don't know what you should do next, but hope you're not gonna make mistakes like this anymore.

might just be shift F10 (I never tried it myself)

you can get to cmd using the installer
boot from installer
on screen after languages, choose repair this pc, not install.
choose troubleshoot
choose advanced
choose command prompt
enter those commands

only deleting C may not work or might end up with extra partitions wasting space. Also depends on what was on PC before, if hdd is formatted as MBR on a UEFI bios, then win 10 may throw a GPT error at you and the only answer then is delete all the partitions and allow win 10 to set up the partitions how it wants

It could well be the hdd that was causing the slowness. That doesn't mean laptop is bricked, just the hdd, and you can get a new one of those. I hope you had backed up everything before you started the formatting?

On the screen where you choose where to install win 10, if it gives you an error about GPT drives, delete all the partitions on the hdd and press next. If it still gives error, cancel out of the installer and restart PC and start installer again, it will accept next on that screen this time (some PC just need a restart here)
