Hi people! I am in a great confusion for choosing HP OMEN - 17-w249tx
Because though specs look great on paper most of the things might not be the same in reality especially the ssd and screen quality .
I am basically a programmer who do alot of android development and run android studio almost 12 hours . Other than that I do gaming and the most played ones are Battlefield 1,CS:GO,overwatch and some openworlds (watchdogs/GTA )
But for an android developer processing power and ram are super important as emulators and VMS take hell a lot of room.
Also screen is something that's quite a big thing to be taken care of while investigating money on a laptop

So please rate ssd and screen of HP OMEN - 17-w249tx and if it's not worth then please suggest a laptop with all those features preferably in same price range .

Thank you! :)

It's this one (https://www.hpshopping.in/hp_omen_-_17-w249tx), right? It would be great if you could provide the link to your laptop so I can compare the difference with other brands. There are many variations.
Any SSD that come in laptops is more than fast enough for programming, gaming, and general use.

In college, I use an ASUS ROG laptop as it was recommended by the college, and it's somewhat similar to the OMEN 17 based on what I've seen. It was an ASUS ROG G771J. Mine had an 256 GB SSD in it and a 1TB HDD that I had put in. It also has 16 GB of RAM, an I7, and a GTX 960m. The display on this laptop is the same size and screen quality of that laptop which looks great! I used Android Studio for one of my programs/courses and it...

Though it's directed towards gamers, I never used this for gaming as I have my own custom built PC at home for that.

Overall, both are great (about 4/5) but there are other brands that are a lot greater in quality and features such as ASUS RoG, Alienware, and MSI.
