Hey,
My Asus u41sv laptop charger broke and, as i really needed the laptop that day, I tried fixing it. Apparently, I placed the cable differently which led to reversed polarity. The laptop just boot up with no problem at all but its just dont charge when I plug it with the new adaptor. I'm thinking the power circuit might be the issue, do they have some sort of protection, or they just short and you have to replace them ?
Sorry for my bad english

Hi, I don't have the schematics for your laptop, some laptops have a protection when you invert the power from the adapter. But in your case, you do not have this protection, perhaps the problem of charging the battery comes when you have reversed the polarity. Sorry, I can't help you without the schematics.
