For unknown reasons my Toshiba laptop suddenly started prompting me for a bios password I never set before. Our IT department failed to remove that password using the classic techniques. Finally I have been informed that my satellite will be shipped to the Toshiba tech support to undergo needed repairs. Any explanation behind this computer behavior ?
Please note that 2 days ago the IT department technician refurbished my hard drive and reset everything to the factory settings. They also re-created the hidden recovery partition. Since I was using Ubuntu before. Could that be related with the password prompt issue. I confirmed with my company technicians that they didn't set any BIOS password on my machine
