I want to build a pc for gaming, but now considering there are gaming laptops that can compete with a pc, and I can take it with me I don't know what to do.......... I budgeted 1500 for pc not including the other components i don't have such as keyboard, mouse, monitor, speakers. So that would put me probably just over 2000. I NEVER realized that gaming laptops existed on the levels they are at. So now I am considering one of those. I've been suggested MSI and they look awesome on paper. I'm just unsure of a gaming laptop because there is no changing components when you want besides ram and hdd, and if one thing messes up (screen in particular) you can't just change it. So long story short, lol what would be the best 2000ish laptop to get that could last the next 5-8 years possibly? I don't care if it's 20 lbs. Just want something that is way overpowered for today's games and future ish proof for again the next 5-8 years.? Or should I just build a micro pc with great components and be upgradable and somewhat portable? Thanks for all the replies!

if you want to go for gaming laptop, than nothing, I mean nothing will bit AlienWare. But that will be a little over your budget may be.
If you want to build a pc than in 1500 you can build an average pc I think.
