Hi,

I'm currently using my Bose QC35's (love em), and I've been looking at ways to maybe improve the sound when wired (these are also Bluetooth).

I found the FiiO A3 AMP and it seems like a really good deal for $60. My question is, would it make that much of a difference? I've done some research and it says it operates at 488 Ohms (i think I know what this means, very new) so I could possibly give it extra power from an amp to get better lows.

Is this worth it? Would a DAC/AMP give me better results, or would the Fioo A3 be good enough? Thanks.

Solution
You can't bypass the amp in the headphones (wired or wireless) so using an amp with them won't get you any improvement.
A DAC however might give you an improvement. Depends on the quality of your files and the type of music you like.

Interesting. Am I not able to bypass the amp because of just these models of headphones or another reason? Also, I stream music from spotify/youtube, and listen to music with heavy bass (lots of rap and trap), and stream it from my samsumg s7 and my desktop computer (motherboard is an asus sabertooth 990fx r2.0) so would a DAC help in this case?
I'll definitely be going to a store to try out an amp sometime.
