Solved! Is there any voice recognition software that lets you control your music; by voice alone?

Hi,
I listen to a lot of music, which for me involves sitting at my computer desk to choose the music, change track e.t.c. - and i'm trying to stop sitting in front of the PC as much as possible as it's terrible for your posture.

So I've been considering getting a microphone hooked up and hopefully finding a bit of software that could recognize - 'Next track' 'Volume up/down' 'Pause' 'xxxxxx artist' E.T.C
I know there's the 'Amazon Echo' that does most of this..
But i don't trust wireless devices and try to limit my use of them. I'd much prefer to just have a microphone plugged into my PC and a piece of software that can recognize my commands to change the track e.t.c.

Is there anything of this nature currently available?
Thanks

I remember seeing a project on Instructables about how to connect Raspberry Pi to Amazon' Alexa service. You might use it as a starting point for your Linux journey.

Thanks for the suggestion, I'm currently using windows 10, but i may switch to a Linux distro in the future.
I don't like how invasive windows propriety software is... i'd prefer something open-source i think..
