Lenovo G580 wont display Full HD on Acer RT270. Please Help!

Laptop
- Lenovo g580 Intel Core i7 3632QM 2.20 GHz
- Intel HD Graphics 4000
- NVIDIA GeForce 710M
Monitor
- Acer RT270, 1920 x 1080 - 60 Hz

For the life of me I cannot get the External Acer RT270 monitor to display at Full HD. When I go to Display Settings, Resolution on the Laptop, it only gives me maximum Resolution of 1366*768.
I was pretty certain I could get Full HD but I am stuck. Please help! Thanks BJ

Are you duplicating/extending to the monitor?

If you choose to "only show on second monitor" (or similar phrasing), you should be able to set the appropriate resolution for the monitor.

Right now, if you're duplicating or extending, you're limited by the resolution on your laptop screen (1366x768 I would assume)
