I have an Asus k50i laptop. It used to work just fine when I got it. The last time I used it. The wifi receiver stopped working. I've tried the f2 key mutiple times. I've even had to completely factory reset it more than a few times and that usually fixes the problem. Now Everytime I try and troubleshoot the connection. All it tells me is " a network cable is not properly plugged in or may be broken" I've used an Ethernet cable on it and that works just fine. Really want to know what I can do to fix the problem. Could I reinstall Windows or do I need to have it taken apart and looked at?

Solution
Sounds like the WiFi card is just done for. Which isn't shocking. It happens.

If the device is under warranty, contact the manufacturer about it.

If it isn't, you can either see about replacing the internal one, or get yourself an external one that connects via USB port.
