Which laptop spec better for gaming and for the future gaming?
i7 7600 1060 6gb
16gb ddr4 2400
1tb 7200
256gb pci ssd

OR

i7 7700 1070 8gb
8gb ddr4 2400
1tb 7200
no ssd

There is only 35 pound difference.

For gaming, the second one is better. Chances are you can upgrade the ram on the second one and likely add an ssd if you want. Those are the only perks to the first one listed, it's slightly more well rounded but the second has a better cpu and gpu. Most games run just fine on 8gb of ram and while an ssd makes the laptop feel 'snappier' and can offer improved load times, it's not going to increase fps in games.

What he said. 2nd one for sure. The cpu's are about the same but the gpu in the 2nd will be good a lot longer. I misread that. I thought the 1st had a 6700 so cpu and gpu better on 2nd

The first one probably does have a 6700, as the only i7-7600 I know of is a low voltage "U" version.
