which of these would be best for triple monitor gaming, im only looking to play games like metal gear solid 5, fallout 4, counterstrike, r6 seige, civ 5, hearts of iron, dark souls, dota, tf2 and fallout 3 across three monitors. i dont mind playing in a lower resolution and i dont mind turning down the settings as i am not expecting ultra graphics.

budget = 200 pounds. i already have the monitors.

The RX 580 competes (and fractionally beats on average) the GTX 1060 6GB so all those would trail it a bit. You'll need as much strength as you can get if you want higher settings. The 3GB would be a big no go at this Resolution, it will fill up fast and once the...

This is as strong as you will get under 200 Pounds (New). At standard 1080p it would run most games at High/Ultra at 60 FPS. Can't say how much on 3 monitors though. Still should be pretty solid even if at Medium or so settings. Civ 5, Dota, TF2 and easier games should be fine on the highest settings but Fallout 4 and such will take some setting tweaks in favour of the wider Resolution. Hope this helps :)

Short Answer: None

Long Answer: Three monitors with FullHD needs at least a 1070 card, that is almost double the amount of money you have.
You are between a 3440x1440 and 4K resolution, need to seek for a card capable of handling 4K resolution, a 1080 preferable, but at least a 1070.

how do you think a gtx 1050ti or the 1060 3gb would hold up? or a gtx 970? would they be better?

The RX 580 competes (and fractionally beats on average) the GTX 1060 6GB so all those would trail it a bit. You'll need as much strength as you can get if you want higher settings. The 3GB would be a big no go at this Resolution, it will fill up fast and once the VRAM is full you can get issues. The GTX 1050 Ti and 970 have the same amount of VRAM (well excluding the issue with the 970 going past 3.5GB) but there general performance is lacking against a RX 580.

Here is a comparison, note this is standard 1080p. > https://tpucdn.com/reviews/Sapphire/RX_580_Nitro_Plus/images/perfrel_1920_1080.png

If the monitors are for example native 720p, then yep you could choose a lower card, a 480/580 in my opinnion.
But if the monitors native panel resolution is FullHD choosing a lower resolution than the panel's resolution is really a terrible choosing on the quality side.
