Hi everyone! I am looking for a new 17" gaming laptop, I want something that has a 1080 graphics card and a 4k screen with G-Sync, I have found 3 so far, the MSI GT73VR Titan Pro 4k, Razer Blade Pro V2, and the Acer Predator 17X, which one, by performance, audio quality and screen, is the best one? I do not care about price, weight, and fan noise. Also, feel free to tell me other products if they are better! Thanks!

A 1080 will be able to push games at 4k high settings just fine, also you don't need more than 4x MSAA.
Screen size has nothing to do with it, but 4k at 17" will be fine generally.
If cost is no object to you however, get the Origin PC laptop you posted earlier in the QHD 120Hz variant, provides the best mix of refresh rate and resolution for gaming imo.

The laptop will not be my primary gaming system. I just travel frequently, and want a really nice (if not the best) laptop

Ah okay, I see. :)
A GTX 1060 or a 1070 with a 1080p panel should be heaps, you don't want a brick of an oven going everywhere with you, trust me, plus the higher the GPU power, the lower the battery, remember.
Get either of these, the 1070 one is fantastic value atm.

Hi Chugalug_'s! I did more research about laptops and I have to say that I changed my mind. I thought about when I will use the laptop and realized that the laptop I am getting is for using it when I am weeks away from my PC, so I want a desktop replacement. I am used to carrying heavy weights, so I don't mind those extra pounds. Battery life is not the most important because most of the time I will have them plugged in (definitely when gaming). I came across this: http://. What do you think? I think that it is better than the MSI GT73VR Titan SLI or even the MSI GT83 SLI because of the 7700k processor and the 120hz QHD IPS screen. I did not like the dual power adaptors at first (think of the hassle)! But then I realized that I can just bring a small power extender. So, tell me what you think.

Have you considered the price of the Origin laptop?
They're extremely overpriced for what they offer, I can find you a much better option for less.
The 7700k processor isn't necessarily a better option, as thermal throttling and heat will be a big problem in a laptop.

Then what would you recommend as a desktop replacement? I do not care about weight and price, battery life is also not a priority, just performance.

But would a 1070 or even a 1080 be able to push AAA games on ultra on 4k at 60fps? I have also read that 4k on a 17" screen is not worth it. It is not true, is it?

So will thermal throttling be an issue? Also, I know that the laptop is a re-branded clevo, sager and xoticpc both also sell their own re-branded version. So of the three companies, which has the best reputation and service?
