Please l have Toshiba Satellite pro A60, it doesn't run on AC power direct. I have to charge the battery for it to run on the battery power. AC power direct doesn't work. Any help please? As a matter of fact, l am not using Toshiba charger but universal. Any help would be highly appreciated. Thanks.

Well one, it could be the charger. Any aftermarket part can be a possible problem.
However, since you can get it to charge the battery, I am assuming when the device is turned off, but it won't run the laptop, I would say you need to replace the charger. It is only putting out partial power, hence the won't run and charge but will charge when off.
